Using MD's "utter bullshit" definition, yes, quite likely.

    Greetings all,
    A little more info.
Currently we are within an interglacial period of a larger ice age that has been ongoing for around 2.6 million years. The interglacial period has been ongoing for about 12,000 years and the whole of civilisation as we know it has developed within that time. Average world temperatures have fluctuated over time with warm and cooler spells. For most of the last 2,000 years the world has been cooling but from the middle of last century it has been getting hotter and even more so for the last few decades.
What triggers the movement from an ice age, where we are now, and a warm period where there is no ice at the poles is debated but is thought to involve increases in solar output together with cyclic earth orbit changes. This is thought to trigger melting of permafrost where large amounts of carbon dioxide and methane plus the same released from the oceans. Things get hotter and hotter and sea levels rise significantly, enough to drown most of our coastal cities. We don't want to go there.
So why is someone approaching their 75th birthday rabbiting on about this? My grandchildren came to visit recently. They are 17. They will be my age in 2080. What will the world look like then. It is tempting to put our head in the sand and ignore inconvenient truths ( giving Al Gore a plug). Doing so however allows reality to give us a stout kick in a tender place.
    Regards Grandpamac.

I disagree, proving the persons position is incorrect and that an alternate position is correct is the only way to progress a discussion and to collectively learn. Creating derogatory references proves nothing of value. Along with 'Conspiracy Theorist' the term 'Antivaxer' is another example of terms created to discredit. This type of reference is what gets these threads along with useful information banned
In my recent writings to Greenpeace regarding their anti farming stance, I have not called them Lemmings, Sheep, Lackey's or Cool Aid sippers. Using such terms would not promote any worthwhile exchange.

I remember here in the forum in a banned thread being branded an 'antivaxer' for a post in Feb 2020 where I stated that ' No effective vaccine will be found for C19' 'We know this because there have already been cases of patients fully recovered becoming re-infected in Japan. This shows us that if natural infection does not create immunity then it is impossible for a vaccine to produce immunity' No one challenged my science, which time and nature has shown to be correct

You are likely correct MH, save for the people who simply declare themselves quite quickly as being irrational. The term "you don't negotiate with terrorists" comes to mind.

What people and why now 'people' ?? Why not 'posts that are not supported by rational thought ??. Now we have the derogatory term ( environmental ) terrorist introduced here, in an indirect veiled form. Tell me what would happen if you ask the 'irrational' person to give proof of there position, (presuming that this person does not self identify as a woman ) ?

I don't really mean to be picking on anyone it's just that tahr keeps making good examples of what I'm trying to get across.
These guys saying it will be left to our kids to sort out, maybe if you informed yourselves, you'd find out that you're swallowing a crock that has been designed to
enslave you in climate change mitigation, managed retreats, ets's,fake green energy.
Wind turbines for example ffs do some research on them and tell me they are good for the environment.
Maybe it's not all quite like they want to tell us
Maybe challenging the narative and "the science" ,doing your own research, may save your life.
I'm sure it helped protect my health.
Here's a fun fact, apparently, the Amish community has no autism, the Amish community have no vacination
Ian Jury nailed it,"Give me convenience or give me death"
Sums up modern life,go along with the flow, don't rock the boat,do as you're told, make it easy for yourself,we'll keep you safe.
Don't be different, don't think for yourself,we'll make an example of you, make life uncomfortable, difficult, sensor you.ban you
Tahr asked earlier if I could make geoengineering stop.
Well of course I can't by myself but if I can encourage some others to do some research and inform themselves
at least we could have an informed position.
Maybe we would all decide we want it to stop then we all might decide to stop it?
Or at least then you can tell me why my observations are wrong
I'm not a scientist or Dr or any other title but don't consider one needs to be to be able to discern the absurdities we see happening
    around us every day.
Who remembers the footage of the US wildfires when they are walking around the remains of streets of incinerated houses with the trees still standing, apparently untouched
You don't need to know detail, just the 40,000 ft view, big picture
I absolutely agree that having no tv and or radio in ones life makes a huge difference to ones reality.
The geoengineering is so obvious I would have thought it would have everyone scratching their heads by now but no,we want to argue it doesn't exist.
There is so much happening in the world right now and so much disclosure of all manner of information on ALL subjects,it is extremely frustrating to see everyone bogged down
in the narative fiction being spoonfed by the screen.
You all know that 90% of media world wide is owned and controlled by a handful of companies?
    How diverse is your news?

because if you look at it from far enough away.....believing someone has a conspiracy is conspiracy in and of itself.

thus its just easier to say someone is talking a load of utter bullshit and be done with it.
I am going to make myself an actual 'Tin foil' hat. I have developed a crusty bit on the scalp despite wearing an ordinary hat, which it seems has not protected me from UV. A tinfoil hat will give full UV protection, be fully waterproof and reflect heat. If made with fold down flaps and veil it can double as a Faraday cage to block unwanted government brain programing

    Greetings @Moa Hunter,
I am sure it will look quite natty. You could also add slogans that I am sure @Micky Duck would help you with. Please post photos of the construction and design for those that may wish to add one to their wardrobe.
    Thanks and regards Grandpamac.

Lurch you say the Amish have no autism...
well early Maori had no disabled people either..nobody born with deformaties lived..so no deformaties were around
from a purely genitic point of view..thats not stupid.....survival of the fittest and for the last hundred years in particular what has our species done????
kept the infirm alive and breeding..and we wonder why as a species we are encountering more cancers etc???
has it not occured to anyone its because we are breeding susceptible people?? or those with genitic disposition for illness???
my good wife is celiac.....once upon a time she would have died as food wouldnt have worked...my eyes getting poked at 51 so easy prey for something wanting me for lunch...
we are living longer so of course we will be sicker!!!!!
one of the most telling memes that has been posted was the old decrepids in old folks home saying this is the extra 15 years clean living gained them....whoopdedooh when your broken and smeared on pooh.

I think as long as my bum points at the ground, I will not be able to do anything about the climate while China, the USA, India, Europe and the others continue to pump out all their shit and consumers gobble up their goods.
I’m just a logical person, who cannot be stuffed believing or caring, because I cannot save the world.
I am be penalised by all the taxes and penalties aimed at me by people who are weak or corrupt or have no logic or suffer illogical fears.
Stop supporting the big polluters, make them stop if you want to have a clean green world!
They won’t, they are driven by dollars, not a green world.
But in the end, climate change will not end this world, mankind’s hate for each other will.

and NO I am not suggesting Adolf H had the right idea about genetics either..... but in SOME cases...sterilisation wouldnt be half stupid for the good of the entire society if not the planet.
Im told Im hard hearted and outright wrong but to me,spending hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars to keep and infant alive who wont ever make a single dollar to pay tax on just doenst work out long term.

Maca mankind will come to an end long before this world ever does so we (mankind) will never see it happen. At a more personal level, two old fucks like you and I most certainly will not see it happen.

You’re correct rushy, I’d be more worried about a hunk of space debris hitting us. We are a very lonely place in the middle of a very very hostile universe, and it doesn’t give a shit about us.
The world right now, is one horrible place
