    What happened to its antlers? Stags after the roar can be a bit average. I personally wouldn’t eat one from late march till it’s cleaned up in November. Maybe he’s done a lot of fu$king and fighting so is still as tough as old boots.

    From 330 meters away I thought it could be a hind as that is what I was after however once I got over to it I thought bugger its a spiker.
    I guess on close inspection it could be a buck that lost its antlers which would account for it being as tuff as a bit of rubber.

    It certainly had a big set of nuts, I guess thats the down side of long range shooting.
