    Fallow - Grass Stealers

Hey Team, it's a wet day and rather than sit around moaning about the government I thought I chuck together some recent Fallow deer footage. We see a tonne on the blocks we hunt and I enjoy watching them!

I prefer Fallow over red deer meat, so shoot the odd to feed the family and mates.

I managed to knock this one over at 425 yards with the .284.

Hopefully the rain eases up next week and I can get some more footage...

Good man, great to see someone who has the confidence to back themselves for a perfect neck shot at that range - impressed

Yea great shot. Always good when it all comes together. I shoot a few of them and along with Sika, reackon the venison is a lot milder generally than the old Reds

Fallow is a finer ( less coarse ) meat than red by a country mile. I have made the comparison many times.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Nice Shot , I don't hunt a lot of fallow but recently iv been invited onto some private land with good numbers , over the croak I saw a couple of bucks similar to the one you shot , nice big body's , antler length but basically no palms I had in my mind that they where poor animals antler wise & likely will never be much of a trophy however talking to others they have suggested not so & that fallow bucks generally don't get much palmation till they are 6-8 years of age , what's your thoughts on that ?

Just as Waikato is a coarse unrefined beer compared to Dairy Board (DB)

Waikato is the nectar of the gods that only the truly strong mortals can drink. DB by contrast is the training wheel beer.
