    A few recentish pics

    Is this a baby fresh water crayfish? was picked up in the billy within 2m of source coming straight out of ground



    Im loving th one man bivi, 2 mins to put up and warm! didnt use sleeping bag for the night but was a bit hot for a midday nap in the sun

    Some great pictures there and some good looking country!
    Never tire of watching those falcons when I'm out and about.
    The picture of the billy with the creature in it is actually a type of Mayfly nymph.

    Are those hills always got plenty of green in them this time of year?,nice pics VC id love to have a grunt around those hills.

    Its actually pretty yellow brown tussock, Auto on my camera tends to make things look greener than they are when there is a lot of sky or scree in the frame.

    do the animals feed in and around the fringes and what sort of animals were you looking for up there?

    There were no animals up there hence all the pics showing obvious landmarks

    It is/was a good cham/deer spot but has been choppered to death, not to worry the surrounding catchments have em and they will repopulate.

    Yep was an enjoyable walk and views all the same but I think I will wait a couple of years before im back up there

    Not a juvenile koura. Looks like a fucking huge mayfly. Probably a Colobuiscus. I remember seeing heaps of them up the Arnold but not that big.
