A hot day in the hill.
I was laying into goats in the rain when this spiker jumped out as I thought it was a hind at 230m. It was hard to I.D the sex of the deer because of rain on objective scope lens.
Because of the rain and bad visibility I swapped the main scope off for a red dot and run 151gr HP cast 308win hand loads. Bush stalking onto a small clearing shot at 20m.
A long range shot for the 16” 308win at 422m, the 168gr A-max did the damage and had a massive blood trail, he only went 20m from the shot.
