Your videos are a real credit to you, as is your dedication to this great sport and your physical endurance.
You just need to get a sense of humour and you will be pretty much the well rounded chap.

every time I see the pack on and stride purposefully past the camera in a hunting vid (almost every one it seems) I laugh to myself about them walking back taking the pack off putting the camera in it putting the pack on and walking off again, just over used and kinda pointless, prefer the selfy style if you must film yourself walking.
It's a bit contrived, but you have to convey movement somehow... the alternative is the "selfie-stick-wanker" angle which I've started experimenting with...

Sick man. Epic trip. Bet that 9.5 hour walk out with a full pack was plenty of fun

Thanks for that effort Gimp. That's classic NZ hunting in one of the tougher pieces of country. Full marks for showing a great hunt and how quality of trip isn't counted in points of antler.

Also, a good follow up to making the "lightweight rifle".

Scope caps ? I've never used them because as soon as I cover the lens after opening it gets covered in condensation. Do you wipe dry with cloth, use lens liquid or keep it shut till ready to shoot ?

Try to keep them dry til ready to shoot, and carry a lens cloth in a ziplock bag... still trying to find the perfect combo for dry lenses in heavy rain and mist... The tenebraex caps don't seal perfectly so they let mist in.

The pack doesn't like heavy loads... more than 20 odd kg and it starts putting all the weight on the shoulders. Some of the compression straps are going too. Thanks!
