There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!
Good stuff, on the board now
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt

Good one mate,,, the tops is a good place to start as you often spot deer even if you don't get a shot away. The good old Sika stag will appear one day probably when you least expect one. One of the best Ive seen was in a shitty little gully right down in a small stream bed, middle of the day just before the roar. I had been there a few weeks before and noted some scrapings which I thought were made by a hunter being smart as they were so obvious. Any way this particular day I had sneaked down to the same spot and heard twigs breaking down by the stream. I waited for about one hour and saw nothing so discounted it as a bird or my imagination. I sat down at the top of the gully bank and had some food. About five minutes passed then out of the corner of my eye I saw a large eight point Sika stag slowly skulk up the other side of the stream, I managed to get my rifle up but couldn't get a clear shot away so I let him move on for another day. One week later I shot a smaller stag not far from here and carried it out whole back to the car park. Even though it was smaller i was stoked as it was my first Sika stag in the roar in DOC land, It had been taken by chance as well in fairly thick bush. I was pretty green at the time having read lots of articles and quite a few fruitless trips.
But once you crack it you know its not only the experts that can get them (-:
Great effort mate! Well done! The first is always the hardest one to get
