    Not really at least it didn't seem like it. Was only one tramper at the durville hut when we tied up the boat, and a couple of parties of fisherman when we came back to get it.

    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded

    Nice! You have actually met my brother, when we got back to the durville he recognised your stabi, said he has run into you up there before.

    We spent a few days up at/above morgans, got one grumpy old stag was the only deer we saw over the whole trip, dissapointing. Wish we went over into the tiraumea instead

    There’s been the odd rifle lost up there over the years. 40 odd years ago one hunter put his white painted Mannlicher rifle down on the snow while he dealt with a Chamois he’d shot. Never saw it again.

    Put a FMJ through it, clear the rust...
    I know a lot but it seems less every day...

    haha thats a beauty. I know of atleast two stainless tikkas in rivers, some gold hunter will find them some day.

    It was a .243, but thanks to the rust it is now .308.
