That is spunky Leathel. If you took a photo like that in Auckland you would have the AOS crawling all over the place.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Yup Marlin XS7 now with a 20" barrel, 1:9 twist shooting the 69gr Targex pills in to nice small groups, Will have to run it through the chrony again...they were doing a touch over 3k when it was a 22" barrel

Well she was quite.... No muzzle crack at all.. Absolutely no need for ear protection ... Goats didn't know which way to run

Need to tweak my load a little but I need to when using neck sized anyway (hot load... kids load went better but now the hot load has no recoil I will tweak that)

Was no task taking the kids out....writing the reports for all the hunts I took them on sure paid off

Might have to save some coin and get one of ABE's light ones as well for when its free hand shooting at some stage and keep that for range and bypod......maybe, Or just get them used to that one...time will tell, still need to bed the rifle etc yet.

69 gr Targex projectiles sure work well on goats at 3015 fps

Most of the rounds at gongs by myself and a few others ...... Kids didn't get to go down as it was a full house, Two of us slept out on the deck as it was, next time for the kids as I will take the Family and I will help sort some stuff on the property and guide in some more gong shooting of the deck to help with the owners confidence at range (got him gonging at 600 with his and 780 with my rifle, )
