Thread: The Great NZHS take a kid hunting comp

Not hunting but what we do as I've got girls is tramp as a family xmas holidays and they have really brought into the challenge of the outdoors













They have been to some amazing parts of the country

I went to check how dry it is to take the kids after a possum or two down the flats on Robs place..... Tractor running with the pto pump 24/7 isn't a good look so might have to take Michael down hunting Karp instead as there was plenty of them on the flats in about .5-1mtr of water between the stock bank and the area we want to go closer to the river where the willows and bush is.... So possums are out for a bit yet.

Still have plans for a fortnight to get Rose out after goats, pigs and turkeys if the weather plays ball then another hunt tied in with the Sika show weekend

First game bird with the new shotgun. Lovely overhead shot, stone dead pukeko, very proud Dad!

Ok, it's a cracker weekend to take a kid hunting...I had a guy in today for a look around and he smacked a young stag over...seen at least four deer in the valley...so if you want to take a kid hunting this weekend pm me...Kaimai Ranges, Waikato side.

Tickers not as good as it should be, otherwise I would take one of the grandee's...none of them big enough for the 7mm

I was going to take Michael after Carp seams the river is to high to hit the possums... I am sure he would prefer a deer hunt

Never thought until I got home I could have taken the young fuller for a walk while I was there with Michael.
