    Last night. I decided to shoot the bottom right one because it looked yummy. 180yards and I muffed the neck shot, and they all departed the scene. I should have known better because it was too windy for trick shots. But anyway you know the rule, if you shoot and miss you still check.

    When I got over there I tracked around into the wind through the adjacent scrub and out of the blue Tilly found it about 60 yards from the clearing. Hit low in the neck.

    I was pretty buggered when I got back with the deer - I had walked 17 km for the day according to my 'phone tracking thing.
