    Awesome write up well done

I know what you mean Craig C, having to work the rounds through the action to unload the 30/30 does make me rather attentive to finger position.

Circa 1965, Hikurangi Tops above Waterfall hut. We had some great times.

Me meat hunting up the Pari in the Ruahines. Not a 303 though - a Brno .222.

That was a great story and pics, have thought of that type of hunt to but me eyes aren't like they were and open sights are hard to use. Really enjoyed that read well done.

I’m in the process of getting a peep sight fitted to my 44 lever action to go old school up close and personal with some deer.

What rear sight is that? I've just fitted a Lyman 66 to mine.

Looking at a Lyman 66 myself, how do you rate yours and do you need a taller front sight?

Wild West guns Alaska sight. Don’t think they’re made anymore. Extremely robust and well protected peep.
When I fitted a 66 to my other win 94, I replaced the front sight, to a taller one with a white bead.

Fallow don't like 30-30's. Neither do goats, reds or pigs actually!
