    I really enjoy reading your hunting reports. Tilly has fast earned a reputation. Looks like you just got that spiker with a spine shot? 243?

    Beautiful hunting country there, and good hunting skills. The Cannon G series are simple and great aye. I need to carry my G11 around more in the bush I reckon.

    He was back onto me and down hill. Aimed just behind his shoulders on the spine line. Pretty much where I hit him.
    Yes, 243 and 95 grn Targex.

    Well its a new experience to me to read an article while eating some of the models in the pics!!!!!.........................and sorry but half a pastie isn't enough thanks to my wife finding out to quick what was in the box they are bloody delicious to thanks Tahr.Your write ups are understated which is what makes them perfect,I need to aim for that.Great pics tilly looks like an amazing dog, I to look forward to having my sons along for a hunt all in good time...............im still only a wipper snapper

    Glad you enjoyed It was from the spiker.

    Yeah, she’s pretty cool. Not perfect, but quite a character. Here’s another couple of pics of her.

    Great report. Nice skins on those animals - well, apart from the one with the nasty hole below the spine!!

    They are beautiful animals. The skins were just starting to turn. I considered keeping the one off the hind but it was just a little bit patchy. And it was an uphill carry

    The spiker was nice as you say, if it hadn’t been for the air vent.
