If you can't kill it with bullets, dont f*ck with it.
awesome story all around.....awesome to see your old ruger still being used to great effect.
if you look back through threads back to first lockdown, FTX gave his one a wee upgrade by fitting wooden panels into the grip bits,reinforced/soaked wood in superglue if memory serves me correctly, sure changed the look of rifle without changing function, far nicer than bright orange panels you see on Tikkas.
great shooting by the young man too...no mean feat when the blood is up to hold steady freehand and seal the deal.
may you two have MANY MANY happy years hunting together.

Great yarn. Gilly certainly is one of the ‘good bastards’ around here.
So cool, well written and some great shooting from Kruz. My son is now in his 40's and is handing down what I taught him to his two sons, shame they are in Canada as it makes it hard to share it with them. This September we will be there so looking forward to a few hunts with them.
beaut set of antlers on that one....I see its actually an eight....is that usual??

I still vividly remember the first Thar taken with that rifle, actually how could you ever forget that trip.
Here’s to plenty more for you and Kruz
