Nice watching some hunting vids that don't just feel like gear advertisements

I met him briefly at his parents place last year. I may be wrong but I don't think the forum would be "his thing".

Yep agreed! He has a very self-sufficient ethos going on. He made that stock on his Tikka last year I think and the sling as well. He's forever repairing the poor wee boat that gets way more asked of it than it was designed for - the Stewart Island circumnavigation being the perfect illustration!!!

The hunting edition jandals haven't made much of an appearance lately but holy crap he goes some places in them.

Yep, getting out there doing it rather than sitting around with some grumpy old men talking about doing it

He's pretty communicative in the comments section of his YT videos if you ask him stuff.

The average US hunter has a YouTube channel, puts out hunting films, has a badass instagram account and sells you a lotta gear that you absolutely need for your next hunt. You’ll never hear about the best 500 hunters in the US because they actually hunt instead of playing dress up on canned hunts and selling you stuff. It didn’t take me long to figure out that the average kiwi 7 year old is tougher than most US mountain hunters.
