    GPM.
Grandpamac: that's because the tectonic plates are moving slowly, hence the hills are getting higher and steeper, and the kilometres are getting longer.
Well, that's how I cope with the situation. (Fee Knicks, bite your bloody tongue!)

Turning 78 next month: very keen to get a deer on the ground within the next 2 years (it will have to be on flattish ground, or downhill there and back!) and then I can think about selling the Winchester Featherweight in .308 that's taken a truckload of animals for me; still felling, splitting and stacking my firewood; reroofing my shed the other day, I realised I'm not as comfortable working at height as I once was (I think you lose a little bit of balance/coordination=loss of confidence in the aging process; and I get pissed off with the young people I encounter who have no bloody resilience! I spend a lot of time at my bach, on an island that has no electricity, no sewage disposal, no piped water supply, no street lights, no Wifi. Old age, eh? I can't wait..I hear you can take it easy, without feeling guilty.

I don’t think I refreshed the bit about the cat, he still had another life left, made a good recovery, then got into eating 3 pottles of meat a week. He then loss his voice, another $250 at the vet for thyroid problem, tablets helped, voice didn’t return, another $70 to the vet to tell me a growth in his neck slowly closing his wind pipe. Well on Wednesday another vet visit, one he didn’t survive, he couldn’t breathe, so was put to sleep. Sad day for all the kids and other family. He now resides in the freezer awaiting a burial in the the pet cemetery at the bach. Reached 16 years with very little health probs, the dog cannot figure out where his mates gone
    Boom, cough,cough,cough

Open the freezer door and show Spot the Catsicle you reckon MD? The only problem with that is old Maca might then get an attack of old timers disease and take the wrong thing out for dinner (which would be Catastrophic). Ha ha ha ha
