Thanks for showing up, was humbled to see how some had spent a silly amount of time & effort to show up to what is essentially very basic stuff.
A bit difficut to reel it in as I needed to put people on their ass/ get a common baseline quickly and this was undoubtly a bit uncomfortable, but please consider these points:
Within hours you were shooting/ hitting head sized targets at 7-800 meters (20-30cm targets)
Range didn't really matter...
Your results were achieved regardless of equipment or experience - (for those that didn't have the clicks on the scope we reeled in the range)
Your result had a very palpable improvement
Your fast shooting were almost as good as the slow shooting - when you start thinking too much or hesitate your shooting basicaly detoriates.
All of you now have enough knowledge to guide a new shooter into LR
Most important lessong for the shooting:
Build a strong position
It takes time to learn how to quickly build a strong position
Buid good workload management routines
Take proper notes (very few did this)
Most important lesson for the spotting:
Be curt. By talking too much you might as well kick the shooter - you do nothing but burn his mental capacity and detoriate his shooting.
You all experienced the following by doing it:
LR is simple
Shooters usualy needs btwn 1-2MOA sized target to hit
Gear is convenient but not important
