    NZ Norway Hunting Exchange

My roar has been pretty quiet with just a weekend and a day hunt fitting into my schedule due to some relatively time intensive commitments at work this year. A few of my mates went hunting for in Norway last year where some good buggers were generous enough to host them. Tov, being one of those good buggers is currently in NZ for a month of hunting so it was time to return the favour. Within 48hours we had him into the Ruahines chasing roaring reds for the weekend. I’ll let the video tell the rest.

Good stuff, Tov will be glad he made the trip out here. Yeah, defo need to cull those skinny deer, they have browsed that area hard from the looks.

10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.

    Great vid as usual.
What range were they at, and did I hear you say you say you were using a 308?

They had an awesome trip. No luck on the Caribou but were part of a successful Moose hunt.

The stag was at 350ish with my mate Dylan’s 7mm rem mag. Most of the hinds were around 300-180ish ranges with both my 7mm SAUM and Dylan’s 308. The stag in the bush was with the 308 too

At a time of the year when most are focussed on stags, I really have to applaud you guys for getting stuck into those hinds. Its the kind of self initiated management that we all need to be doing where animal numbers are too high.
