    One horned billy

In the same vein as the previous vid, this Billy had lost a horn. Would have been quite big with both. At this stage I had little interest in trophy so most heads where left to rot. But of a shame looking back.

Im not sure why I kept this bit of vid but I do remember the hunting.
Working a contract, I'd removed most of the goats from a doc block and found a gully that I'd previously not found any goats in. This time I spotted some across the gulley. I remember it was a bunch of billys who were doing some form of goat gang initiation with a poor nanny. Need less to say I knocked them over. Sadly the nanny also met her demise at the end. The epitome of a bad day for a goat.
Cutting across the steep water falls I climbed up to gps each animal, only to look back to where Id shot from and see goats. I opened up again and 4 or 5 more cartwheeled down into the waterfalls.
Again I crossed over and gps'd them. I sat down as it was a hot summer day when I spy more billys sniffing round for the original nanny.
Considering I'd thought I was nearly at the end of all the goats on the block I had mixed feelings as it had me wondering if there was further populations somehow avoiding me.
I think it was 12 that day in that gully, when I wasn't expecting any or at the best a one or two stragglers.

Man I miss that mini 14 with its flash camo stock. I kept putting it down while working and losing it.

Same block about a kl. Away. I caught a whole mob feeding across a cliff. I managed to shoot the rear two which set them all running at me on a single track with very above and below and with nowhere for the to go. Shot every one. Felt a little bad as one had collar but hey. It was a job and if someone had once cared for it they should have kept it contained.
