    RIVER PORKA

Two nights ago,i was waitn for a deer to show up just on sun set,but this guy got 1st in line and my very first pig.The 308 smacked him thru the sholders at about 100yds.I was planning to be away two nights so i just took the legs and hang them in the truck skinned. The skin was hard to cut thru delegging him, like leather and he had about half a inch of fat on him.I had to sharpen the knife several times.Surprized the legs were quiet small for a big pig, well big to me.He wasnt a old pig going by his teeth.Had about a k to walk with the legs in my pack,so wasnt to bad.Got nothing last evening so came home this morning.
Im not a pig hunter and i always thort wild pigs would be stinking smelly bloody things. But this guy was as clean as a house hold pet.Any guestamates on weigh guys??Too heavy for me to throw over my back to carry whole.Name: 20220427_190342.jpg

looking at his wee dog pokers and the short looking legs,I will guess 100-120lbs... faarkin solid looking body that is for sure.
cook slowly with water in the meat dish, serve with lashings of apple sauce....pureed cooked apple with a bit of added sugar....baby food will do at a pinch and the Barkers stuff is pretty darn good too.
