Thread: Shooting a Sika stag while hind is whistling 100m away - video

Short clip from my 2023 roar of me spooking a bedded sika hind and proceeding to get a smaller 7pt stag afew minutes later and 80m away from where i spooked the hind
this blew my understanding of sika hunting always thinking all animals in the region would run away or be on high alert but as this video shows thats not always the case.
Have over 15hrs of footage(stabilised 4k) from last roar yet to be edited and uploaded on my youtube account so will try get that done before heading away for 6 weeks this roar.

For anyone interested the camera used was a DJI Osmo action 3 camera using 4k resolution 60fps and horizon balancing to cut out the
jerkeyness of footsteps - now have the osmo action 4 for this roar and bigger sensor and 10bit colours, camera mounted onto of my high
viz hunting cap so its always seeing what i see.

Good stuff. I've shot a few deer after a warning call as well. Never know what they will do sometimes.
