    Silly old paddock hunters. Pffttt...

    First post Covid hunt for the the old buggers.

    Brian shot a nice Fallow. 240 yards. 6.5-06.

    Restocked the freezers. Some for charities. Some sausages and salamis.

    Nothing at all wrong with "paddock hunting" usually that means you can recover 100% of the meat, which in my book is doing justice to the animal.............nothing wasted!

    Your patience not going out during the lock down was rewarded. Some good looking eaters there. That should keep you happy to next weekend

    When there was a commercial trade for wild venison the deer we sold had to have their ears on to prove they were not farmed deer. So those deer hanging up in the above pic were how we would sell them. Old habits die hard, so to me a deer carcass now looks naked if its ears aren't left on when I take the head off.
