Solo Trip - visiting new country

I was given the opportunity to visit some new country, earlier this week. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice and those who don’t ask where it’s is.

I saw a few deer and shot a hind. Its yearling was too quick for me, this time…. Anyway. 😀😀

I taught myself the value of using a map, after I didn’t! :-)

You know where not to go now. All paid off seeing a few animals. You forget about the tough bits after the reward of a successful trip.

    Aren’t they. I couldn’t survive without them.
And I’ve never disagreed with myself!

From someone who watches maybe 3 hunting YouTube clips a year, it was great to hear someone saying backcountry is crap!
I'll give those meals a try.

His language is a bit potty though. I need to give him another mouthwash with a toothbrush and soap.

Back Country is kind of like a Howa firearm. You’re more of a Sako man aren’t you!

you fellas who rubbish back country meals...have had it too good.... it is MILES ahead of the old waitak mashed spud and dehy peas that were all you could get not that many years back..... heck I used to live on 2 minute noodles and maybe a pack of saveloys as they were cheap and light to carry.
how you rehydrate makes a big difference too.... there is merit in adding some water to packet and letting it sit during day then adding rest of hot water at days end..the puddings were a reveal to me...some of them are rather good
but Im not a fussy eater..one thing is for sure..it beats cans of baked beans
