Always good chasing goats, you had an enjoyable few days hunting and some meat to bring back. Nice one.

I see that as hunting, just using the equipment for the job (dogs). Sounds like a damn good trip

Its amazeing how many people don't class hunting goats as real hunting i have being hunting this place for a while now its a geat place to take kids or newbies normally have good success but even alot of newbies think its below them and only want to do real hunting and get deer and pigs so i don't offer to take any one now heading off there again next week for 3 nights the goat numbers are getting up again the owner wants a few shot

Likewise, right animals fine for humans or dogs. Great practise for 'real' hunting, still need to similar skill set and good practise for dealing those longer shots

Well done, Sometimes. Bet the dogs had a ball, and the freezer has a bellyful.
Used to be a fine wine - now I'm vinegar.

It takes the same skills to hunt rabbits, hares goats or wallabys as it does for deer. Shooting bunnies at 50m with 22,is sometimes as hard as shooting bigger targets at 100. It's all stalking practice using available cover and wind direction. At the end of the day, they're the prey, and you're the predator. Their senses are better than ours, so I consider any critter bagged as earned. Wish I had access to goats
    sometimes and 223nut like this.
