Successful hunt with the young dog.

Saturday early morning i met Scotty at the turn off to the forest, he jumps in and we are hunting with in half an hour. After a quick walk to the back of the big clearing Sid starts winding over the creek but we cant see anything so move off into the bush, after a few k we hit the pylon track and Sid winds hard on a young deer hidden behind a grassy hill, deer catches on and bolts no time for a shot and not loaded anyway.
Into the bush again and soon after we have a break he (Sid) is winding again, he ventures forward and then comes scurrying back "What did you find Sid" i ask him then a Grunt Grunt from the area in front of me, he has never seen a pig before so was shocked to see this creature up close but he goes for another look and i follow. With in a minute a Sow comes wondering back towards us so i give her a 7mm08 pil to look after. Job done Dog gets first pig gun gets first blood.
Heading out, 100m to track and here we go again this time Scotty takes the honours and Sid gets a big tick of approval and a few pats to. He also found another deer in between the to pigs but the wind was up our jacksy and it cottoned on pretty to us.
So stoked with Sid right now he hasnt had allot of hunting time as i have been home allot more with the boys but he has obviously picked up on what i have tried to show him.

So excited to be hunting with him this roar.

Excellent work. Give the dog big encouragement and your 2013 roar will be memorable.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
