Sun and snow and a guy with long legs

Today Kiwi James and I went and explored one of the local rivers to give the legs the stretch, and both of us where keen to get a brake from the women
The weather was less than average, very windy, rain, sun and snow
The trip was off to a bloody bad start when James thought he'd bring the "curse" rather than his R93, good thing I had a proper walking stick
The highlight of the walk up was some rather attractive German trampers.......I had to drag James onwards kicking and screaming
There was plenty of animal sign around which is always good.
We climbed right up to nearly the saddle and had a look around in the wind.
It then started to snow so we headed out.
On the way down James went up another branch while I stayed in the main stream hoping to assist more trampers
James had a show down with a couple of stags that are still running........
On the way out after 6 hours walking we dam near ran over two spikers on track
And I learned that keeping up with a guy with two meter legs is hard work.
Hope everyone had a good weekend.
And if I've got too, two or to round the wrong way I'm sorry but shit happens

The two stags in the car park were a crack up too.

Phone cam was a bit shit but the pair are the two smudges on the background.

Shouldn't miss from this distance either need to get the Blaser barrel back

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Cheers Brads, and good on you for getting out there despite the lovely HB weather. Shame no meat was forthcoming, but hey !
I had a little adventure with a VERY picturesque German backpacker myself today, but that story will have to keep till the next wooldshed ensemble

Yeah I missed one the other day too which was rather annoying after the effort we put in to get to the area.
Shut up, get out & start pushing!

Great write up guys. As long as you have some sort of weather it is a good day.
