    And never trust ya mate when he says his rifle is sighted in, and you have just walked for a few hours up the hills in Kaikoura
    Should have been a bit suspicious when he said his 270 was sighted in for 50m

    @Woody. Thanks for asking. She has had seed heads surgically removed from between her toes so is on bed rest for a while. I spent 2 weeks looking after a farm and she picked them up then.
    In spite of that I am easing her outings back anyway because at 13 she is really starting to slow down . Bless her.

    @Tahr Nice work lads, yes I missed one before Xmas too, my fault no excuses but still embarrassing in front of a mate lol

    How’s that wee day pack working out? Does it have a hydration bladder port?

    Nice little pack. I thought it did but I cant find one and there is no pouch in it for a bladder. Anyway, the only bladder I use is mine. At night. Several times.

    Hang about! Later. Yes there is a vent for a tube and the bladder goes in the padding pouch in the back. So all good for a bladder set up.

    @outdoorlad
    I loaded the pack up last night. Boned out HQ's and shoulder and backsteaks. Still room but that would be its limit for weight. I felt the load pulling back on my shoulder by the end of the trudge. There are better packs for load carrying but for light, simple and value this is pretty good.
