Thanks @Mooseman also thanks for the stalking invite. Really appreciate that. Sorry I never managed to get in touch but you know how it is by the time I managed to get around all the family and old friends time just ran out. Did you have a good roar? Liked your last write up!

Abrhams is a cool spot well done very fitting you had a good time & shot a deer ! , I still have fond memory's on the tidal flats one night I got the torch out after a legitimate disturbance "sounded like a kiwi being attacked " & noticed some little blue eyes out in the mud flats Oh yea a dirty big mud rat , mate lines it up with his 243 BOOM it was like a volcano of mud but mate missed the dirty rat & somehow it headed for my mate , he likes to say it was because that's how I shined the light but seriously I just followed it,s lead , was hilarious mate started doing some sort of dancing jig jumping up and down eventually standing on the thing it was not a quick death .

awesome writeup and photos....one day I will get back down there again...had a kiwi walk over my boot laces one afternoon while stalking, that memory will stay with me forever.
really nice to hear your good lady enjoyed the island...it is a magical place with all the birdlife and good fishing.

Year definitely needs to be done. Do your research on the blocks before you go though.
I’d not take any block with a track running through it. Only because I wanted the solitude.
We had cell phone coverage but talking to some guys that come down every second year and we’re in southwest arm block they had only 1 bar. I recon if you take some of the lower blocks around the bottom of the island you would have no coverage so a mountain radio would be needed.
1 250 meters of rope. 2 dive boots. 3 rubbish bags to take the crap out left over from other party’s
4 file for the axe and a good wood saw. Oh and a broom as some clown had broken the one in the hut.

It’s a special place just a shame all who travel there don’t treat it with respect.

But year get in you should love it. I mean my wife wants to definitely go back.......

One of the reasons she wants to go back we never caught up with a Kiwi.

Bloody hell. Almost needed to put that yarn into chapters. What a great account of your time on the island. I have never ventured there myself, great photos. Cheers.
