I reckon Tasman would be the ideal sorta guy you need around to keep spirits up when the shit hits the fan in the bush...

And I have had it happen once with two deer as I approached a clearing in the Longwoods. I guess the sad truth is I am only a very average hunter who loves the adventure of exploring new areas. I like to plan things out and research my gear and pack purposefully for a trip - so kinda a bit OCD. For me to shoot 3 deer when I only wanted one (and I am definitely a meat hunter!) would be firstly embarrassing, and secondly I know my capabilities and only the meat effectively from one animal would be making the trip home. Some people like Tasman can have a laugh at themselves and some can’t - most times I am in the second camp.
Good on ya mate, that makes more sense. Nothing wrong with being an average hunter, I'm included in that group!
I've seen others on YT make that same mistake and can certainly see how he did it with all those deer scattering and the visible adrenalin rush he was experiencing. Was good to see him push himself to get it all out when others would have just rolled it down the hill minus backsteaks.

I too, have recently found his vids. Super refreshing. Not trying to be cool or push some product. Just out there with a sense of adventure.

I could see Emil and him do an episode for the duleys. Just show what a keen young fella can do if they choose to.

For me, his vids are unwatchable, not sure who his target audience is, guess it’s not me.

Glory hunter. He’s talented with a camera but he’s always been for the glory. Knew him personally years ago, wasn’t someone I’d have hunted with. Tasmin on the other hand, his feeds look epic!!!

I know Tasman gets a heap of great feedback on his videos but it would be awesome if he was a member on here or even alerted to the fact this thread exists.

He really is something refreshing in the feild of hunting vids on YouTube.

Hey Rumpy, I emailed this forum thread to him a week ago, thought he'd appreciate the feedback.

Shouldn’t have clarified. JE Wilds. Too much drawn out explanation and dramatisation.

Great hunting vids by Tasman. Nothing seems too challenging for him. Need more of these sort of characters in the hills.

Been following Tasman and before that Tasman and Arvid until he left for Ireland.

Tasman is also a talented Joiner by trade and made the stock for the .270 he carries, by his own admission he has joined the employed sector from being self employed so possibly less time to make videos for a while.

Tasman often hunts barefoot too, his parents have a lifestyle in the sounds and he sometimes takes his sister along.
