Seats picked up for $100 each just need a steam clean which will happen later this week

Hi @dannyb I have been looking at doing the same with my old 70 series at least for the drivers seat - the passenger bench seat is quite handy at times so might leave that one and I don't have to sit in it anyway. What were the Falcon seats worth and what wrecker did you get them from? Cheers

I got them from jawa auto dismantlers in Woolston, pretty sure that was their only ones. I had a good scout around on facebook marketplace and trademe and average price for a reasonable seat was between $100-$150, if mine had the passenger bench i would've kept it too. At least Huracan will sell adapter for just just drivers sest replacement.

There was a few sins on the roof to tidy up from the previous owner, stripped the surface back and hit it with crc rust converter, will do a couple light coats of crc etch primer then some spray filler to fill some of the pitting.

Dark before i remembered to take pics of the roof after a couple coats of primer filler but at least now its sealed and shouldn't rust.

Whilst i was waiting for the roof to dry i started trimming back all the steel behind the cab including the rear door skins which were welded in place what a dick of a job. Next Friday I'll tidy it up with a die grinder tidy up any niggly bits, Then I'll make some templates for the sheet steel to weld in place and seal up the cab.

I've left the outer skins on as it was getting too dark to see to get them squared off nicely, that'll be a next week job.
Tonight I'll order up my bedliner for the interior of the cab and some undercoat for the bonnet and guards. I already have 2k black to go over everything.
Once the cab is sealed up and bedliner coated i can movecon to mounting the deck and fuel tank.

visited spray store this morning and left several hundred dollars poorer but now have everything I need to paint the bonnet, guards roof etc etc and roboliner for the floor in the cab, windscreen sealant, amongst a few other bits and pieces. It sure adds up quick but will be well worth it when its all done.
Hopeing to get the bedliner sprayed on the floor in the cab next ime I'm out there so I can finish the wiring and start getting the rest of the interior back in.
Decided to for go carpets or vinyl floor so I can just hose it out if it ever goes swimming.

Good. Do you have an engineering or mechanical background?
I just don't have the patience for that sort of thing.
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.
