And the more I think about this, it's a media beat up against Ranger drivers. It has to be, most of us poor Ranger drivers are more concerned with whether we are going to get to where we were planning rather than what we can stop to destroy on the way there. We usually don't have to stop to destroy things, thats a complimentary extra that Ford supplied with the vehicle.

I'm currently waiting on the 5th sensor to turn up after the dodgy PCM was replaced and now that the replacement PCM is working as it should it's showing up everything the dodgy one damaged. What a pain in the arse...

Thats more an issue with modern utes having too much tech on them. It's not specific to Rangers. There's just a lot of Rangers around so the number of them with faults is more.

    Discloser, I don't own a Ranger.

If their technical teams aren't quite up to scratch, their creative team certainly is: https://youtu.be/14lI3pxx17U?feature=shared

Trying to find the parody version where "Ranger" is substituted out of another similar-sounding word... not hard to imagine what that might be.

A friend now deceased in the venison era was a ground shooter who with his mate targeted farm edges. The cunning plan was they bought a van and stuck a TV aerial on it and posed as a TV installer when TV's were penetrating the back country. Never once did they get picked up.
