Sell the bloody thing and buy one with an acceptable name! There's no way in hell I would change the name of a boat! I've had some goodies like "Miss Prion" and "Orange Roughy" I painted them and didn't put any name on those two! "Special Edition" was a keeper, the rest were just Sea Nymph, "Fi -Glass Lightning" etc. I'd rather run around with #13 on the side than rename one!

Change the name or not if that fender's as close to the chine as it appears one or the others likely to break on a decent bump... Then SHAFTED would be the name to go with!

Smash a bottle of.............Waikato over the bow to christen it. That'll keep all the evil spirits away...

Won't bring ya much good luck fishing though, unless you pickup the ones near by that've gone belly up

Just use a bit of 'cut and polish' to clean off the old name and get on with it man.
@gadgetman the ocean is a huge lonely place when shit goes wrong, you can do everything right and still end up in the brown stuff ...better to have a large slice of good luck on your side by having appeased the fishing gods rather than have them laughing their arses of saying look at what we're going to do to this poor soul!

After towing home a brand new boat that blew up its black box 10 hours of running ( Johnson) , and being towed home in a mates boat second trip in after he brought it got it serviced etc and it blew its power coil ( mercury), fished and motored through French pass , Tory Chanel , Cape Jackson mate I'll take all the the good luck I can get.

Remeber this lost soul ...lost steering , dropped anchor , snapped anchor off! Boat that could have saved her had to drop clients off ..so they agreed to drop the clients off and come back.
