Yep, at least with the triton the starting point is a bit lower than hilux or ranger....

The two Toyota dealers I attempted to buy new with are certainly not contributing back.
I think the resale plays a part though.
Last year we sold out 07 hilux for 29k, and walked out the door with a new one for 34k
    To me that's fucking awesome.

    Well @BRADS
you see I didn't get 29k, I'd have been happy if i did
Mine was 2008, canopy ,snorkel, steps, etc, had 147Km and dealer bought and serviced since new,
I was offered 19.5K from the Toyota dealers,

Considerately more from the Colorado , Nissan and VW people.
    So.. I own a 2018 Colorado.

Good stuff mate, yeah I didnt mean that to be taken the wrong way, I was trying to get across the massive difference there seems to be with Toyota dealers across the country.
I'd never been Into this dealership before but couldn't of been more pleased with the service we got.

Brought my my 2014 SR5 hilux for $43000 7000km 3 years ago, 3 years on its done 72000km and got offered $36000 as a trade. Same toyota dealer.
So $7000 over 3 years i think is not bad. Not upgrading happy with what iv'e got.
But that is the difference when buying a toyota they hold there value, just like honda motor bikes
What ever you buy you have to be happy with the vehicle it self , the sales man/woman and after sale service

I've got an LT 2018 and I rate it.
I'm a Ford man and it hurts to say. But really happy with it. Handles well little bit noisy but does everything right. I used to own a series 1 Ranger. (Cough cough 3 6R80 trans later). No problems so far knock on wood.
