My experience is don't use BP diesel, my Colorado got a dose of dirty BP diesel, gummed up the injectors and they had the "Toyota modification" done to them, under warranty. I only fill up at Z or Gull up here and no further probs, I would never use BP diesel again could be their " non frothing" additive.

I'm pretty sure it was bp that stuffed up the winter additive quite a few years back . Stuffed the seals in most injector pumps . You had to prove you purchased there diesel to get compensated . Bp fuel card so I was sweet , but sure others were not !

Keep the tank full always. Common rail Hilux's suffer from large amount of condensation due to high fuel temp!

Mercedes has been recommending adding mineral 2 stroke oil to the fuel tank on each fill, in countries where the fuel quality is crap.
Due to the low sulphur now in diesel (sulphur is the lubricant) there are problems with longevity of injection pumps and seals leaking not just in older diesels but also in CR's.
    2-S oil seems to help.

It probably doesn't help all the clean air crap on them tho ?

Some time ago driving machinery for a living we stopped condensation in the fuel tank by filling up each evening, if the tank was full there was no air for condensate to form. This saved us a lot of hassels.

    Condensation is not an issue
    Bad fuel is though.
5 ppm will fuck the whole fuel system.

Install a Raycor filter POST the factory one and check it each fill up.
Keep your last fuel receipt as you can go the fuel company if you have an issue as you have proof.
Mate deals with it day In and day out

I think the record is fucked fuel system and engine on 1st customer fill up lol

Have you come across morleys diesel additive , I used it on my transit van increased fuel economy . It's promoted use is a fuel conditioner and lubricant for low sulphur diesel .
I'm wondering if I could add that to every fill
