Ah i see the connection now.
Still not worth the matainace costs.....If I have a proper 4wd I wont be able to help myself I will 4wd it.
The Rav has been places that would have Mikee and probably many others asking to get out.
AWD has the advantage of not doing burnouts or drifting.....much. which is good for my licence and matainance costs.
Changed oil in wifes swift yesterday....baked the fronts in the workshop......cant help myself in a 2wd cant help myself in a 4wd.

A guy that worked for me used to disconnect his petrol vehicle.....he brought a XF Ford ute from his mates old man, it hadn't gone far in pretty good nick, wasn't long before it started playing up, had to pull the engine down, it was rooted, way too rooted for less than 100K...Karmas a bitch......
Another thing I wonder about, if the odometer is turned off, how do you know how many Kms it done & when its due for a service....or if you are that tight that you don't want to pay RUC then why would you service your vehicle anyway ?

Agreed, waste of time
Wouldn't do it to a nice vehicle that I planned on selling, could be tempting on a hack like a early 2000s courier that spends a lot of time off road and that's going to be driven into the ground anyhow.
Personally my old hunting/hack truck just gets serviced each four months irrespective of how far its travelled.
