So long as they can be switched from the drivers position - technically means they can be hooked up straight to the Hi beam.
But better to fit a separate switch I reckon.

Yeah if you have them hooked up to the high beams then have an override switch that'd be enough to keep everyone happy right?

I intended to do that originally but was in a rush.

Yeah that's the better way to do it RNZ, but not necessary to pass a WoF.

Nice LEDs out as well but expensive, by law do you have to have extra spots hooked to the dip? Cannot run on a separate switch.
RF will be ok with a relay inline

A relay is a must with any add on light. Stops the h/l switch and wiring burning out due to excessive currant draw.

For WoF's, spotties must have a light beam angle of 0% (0mm drop over 3m). The same as the Hi beam setting.
There's no rule for how to wire them in regarding a separate switch, but it is highly recommended.
So long as the spot lights can be turned off/on from the drivers seated position you are able to wire them in however you like to the main beam (Hi-beam)

Hey Cambo we just use the high beam switch wire to activate a relay that runs the spots straight from the battery. Wont burn anything out that way.
