    Well I do lots of heavy transport chassis repair/lengthen/shortening so I guess that?

    so for pure strength purposes am i better to weld a 20mm tapped plate to my chassis, or make boltable mounts for around the chassis.

    That depends how you make them I spos? I could and did quiet often lift my whole vehicle with a forklift on each slider to change wheels.

    My understanding is you have to be a certified welder to affect any repair/modification to structural and it has to be "signed off" by a design engineer but then cars are different.

    im making them king kong, 50mm steam pipe shouldnt bend to easily i hope.

    Should be plenty, I had 40 mm shed40.
    Run them as wide as you can get away with, mine were about 30 mm outside the tires so could just turn into a bank on tight tracks and the bar would push the arse end out and around

    I would love to see some photos Is 20mm plate a bit over the top? bet she would start getting heavy.

    It's only amounting pad from memory about 150mm long x 4

    Will have to see if I can I find some photos on the old pc.

    pretty much the same as me then. slowly but surely getting there should have my rear 4 link finished this weekend then im almost ready to roll again

    they will be once i have put my rod ends on. thats the crossmember it all hangs off
