2013,V8 nissan patrols had that deal going 1% over 4yrs,test drove a new one, buitifull wagon,400hp.My accountant said id loose to much money and so i pay him to give me good advice. He said you spend a grand or 2 a yr to keep the old patrol still going. i listened and the old tdi 4.2 still ticking over.Saved myself $70k and with covit killing our business im pleased i listed to him.
I got a 2018 Navara STX, 97K on the clock, no issues at all. Drives like a car, only gets occasional off-road use, but tows tandem trailer fine.
In retrospect I should have waited a few months and got the new Triton and saved a few dollars for something that does the same thing.
Test-drove the previous model Triton, D-Max and Colorado before I settled on the Navara and they were all slower, noisier and rougher to drive than the Navara.
On paper the black edition triton seems a good package. Better than Navara ST450. We probably go for a look today or tomorrow. Mrs keen on ute, however I’m aware of fact she’s five foot zip so the tray is essentially useless to her. At least SUV she can use boot space
I stand to be corrected but the "450" stands for 450 NM of torque ? I have a driven a mates one when I had a 3 litre Hi Lux [had a Toyota bias then] It was was better as in way better than my Hi Lux.
1% sounds good but check out set up fees and see what those charges bring your 1% up ? Check out warranties also.
For boat towers focussed on towing capacity of the current crop of utes, check out John Cadogan's YT channel: In essence many manufacturers that claim 3.5 tonne towing while technically true, with 3.5T towed once you have a full tank of gas, the wife and a chilly bin on board, legally there's no room for kids, camping or fishing gear. You will be over Gross Combined Mass.
1% finance is a good deal, but the patrol will loose you$40k out the door then in the 1st yr another 20k to 30k.Thats why theres about 13 new patrols on TM now.Not many people have $105k spare.
Yeah nah. I'll never own a Ford. Might seems silly but all because of Dick Johnson and his completely unsporting comments after the Nissan Godzilla beat him at Bathurst. Ford management did nothing. Shit sticks.
The other thing is they'll be way above budget. We're looking at lower end that'll do the job.
A mate just bought a Mazda/dmax.
Very nice ute.
Got a good deal plus capped service costs.
He went in to buy a dmax but the salesman was so dismissive of him he walked off the yard with his cash still in his pocket.
Life is natures way of keeping meat fresh
I have a 2018 st x in manual
Have done 100k
Been a great family/farm/road trips ute
Have a canopy on back.
You can stretch the 3yr payment to 5 on same deal
Nissan in chch has been great
Pulls like a school boy
Think about tires got 70k out of factories but upgraded to AT and lost a little...0.5 l pr 100km fuel
Also new models have cable under chassis that needs to be tucked away as otherwise it will catch and snap and put u in limp mode...Noone wants to be in limp mode in the wet bush
All new trucks are reliant on electrikery switching...no probs with mine...in saying that...only light 4wd rough stuff use.
Bloody comfortable on long trips
Headlight need an upgrade as not best.. but easy fix
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!
I have a petrol np300.. Not as grunty as the diesel version.. But no ruc. I'd have to say they drive nice but the suspension in the earlier version like nine 2017 had soft rear suspension. As they did away with the leafs. If you get one and it hasn't had the upgrade dual rate springs and shocks. Then budget in for a new rear set up at a minimum. The service I got for mine when things went wrong was pretty piss poor. As it has to go thru Australia for warranty it can take some time. Mine suffers from gear chatter when box is hot. But doesn't efffect the driving.
I also put a I drive in mine. Its a throttle controller to get rid of the flat spotting and lag time. Of the fly by wire foot pedal. Gone are the days of a cable controlled pedal. They are about 300 and simple to fit.
