    My local auto Sparkie gave my alternator an overhaul after it died 4wding. Pulled apart and cleaned and checked and replaced brushes for $80 all up. Don’t need bearings or stator tho but could be worth asking the question, price might surprise you and you’ll have a good spare.

    Have to take an AES with you to restart your heart if you ask for a quote from most places in Taupo.

    Send it up to me Simon. Ive got a fantastic auto sparky girl up here who seems to be able to fix anything for a good price.

    Gives free advice too. bloody great, I dont go anywhere else.

    Old fashioned service is still king.
