One way tow vehicle hire companies?

Any suggestions for companies that rent tow vehicles one way? Looks like in about 3wks times I might need to tow a new toy from Hamilton to Christchurch.

Depending on the size of the toy you could possibly rail freight it at less cost.

About 7.5m trailer and boat overall.
First thought was fly up, rent vehicle and drive back. But starting to consider transport on or behind truck, rail, etc

Could try McLay boats. They are up and down the country a bit and often do back loads.

    Option 1 Findatruckload
    Option 2 Palmerston Transport Solutions

Both are great to deal with

Give this guy a call, he will cart anywhere anytime if it fits in...does North Island to South Island and back regular...ignore photo on card as he has sold that truck and gone bigger...I went with him last week from Waikato to Invercargill carting jet boats and tractors and horse floats...we picked up a rifle for a forum member in Blenheim and gave it the big tour, Blenheim to Invercargill, Queenstown, Picton, Wellington, Te Aroha, Taupo, Havelock North.

Yesterdays load from some little village between Napier and Wellington, heading for Auckland...picture shows size of truck and trailer...if you think it will fit on either call him.

Guy who purchased my boat drove up to Picton, left his ute, jumped on ferry, hired ute in Wellington, drove up here, picked up boat and returned to Wellington. Backed boat on ferry, returned ute to hire co, crossed on ferry, hooked up to boat on his ute and drove home. Simple .

That sounds like a good option too! Hadn't considered that.

The guy I mentioned can tow to ferry and you pick up from Picton...he has done this before going either way...he can either truck or trailer, off the road or towed behind...apparently a lot of people want off the road...he is doing a 22 foot caravan to CHCH this week, off the road.

Cheers all. I've decided to a do a 1800km roadie to collect. Possibly not the lowest cost option however time with family (hopefully harmonious!), get chance to meet the seller, including a spare day for sightseeing during trip, etc
