This would make boat owners very happy (if they remove the excise tax off the raw product )

Stated aim of the current coalition? It's part of the transport agreement they reached as I understand it. One of the reasons for it is that now PHEV vehicles are now getting doubled tapped requiring RUC for the battery component of the vehicle but also getting stung for the petrol RUC component. Whereas things like non-P HEV's are now a LOT cheaper to run than the PHEV's!

Iv had 3 nissan patrols in the last 40yrs.Water has been up to the door handles or touching bottom of wing mirrors driving thru rivers. Two with snorkles, one with out.None leaking, drowned or written off.Prados need to learn to hold their breath better in water.

Yea I suspect having the intake in the wheel arch isnt the best design. And the chamber in the road which dipped the drivers side down for a bit didnt help too haha

Might have had something in the drain flap in the bottom of the air filter housing too, it literally only requires a teaspoon or two of water to bust crap up in these modern diesels. Mate's ex drowned a fairly new ranger in flooding, was trying to rescue some animals and got told it will be right these things are good for 700mm. That one wasn't so it isn't just a Prado thing, could be a bit of luck of the draw sometimes.

Yeah, but nah not in this case. I don't know any more but I would put forward the guess that the pilot might not have used the correct techniques just quietly. The mate wasn't that flattering when describing her driving ability and suggested that she would have been better off staying in the mall carpark with some pet food and just waited for the things to get hungry.

Got the same rig, purchased at similar km's get about 12.8l per 100km taking it easy. Have done about 90k since I've owned, apart from servicing I've done one battery and one cv boot. Fairly standard wear components as expected.
