Great that the owner maintained it well enough to know exactly what it was.

gadget -you remind me of sons mate who as an experiment at high school planed the head on a B&S powered lawnmower and runs it on avgas.
according to this bloke -cuts ya lawn bloody quick but a bit of a handful to hang on to! my son reckons"plain bloody mad".
wanted to use it on our lawn as a demo -told em i wasnt going to get anyone out of the bloody oak tree let alone a madman clutching a homicidal B&Smower!
however a head job on your bike -well................

Well you can just throw on a jug and piston/rings from a 450 and rejet the carb and it will be a 450, everything else is the same. And yes I have been tinkering with it.

You are welcome to borrow #2, I don't really use that one either.

I only paid a couple of $k for it. Will likely use it more in the future with rabbit numbers being low and for wallaby hunts. Will knock up a trailer to put behind it shortly.

I have run a Yamaha 350 Bigh Bear 1997 for the last 2 years for hunting and surfcasting. No troubles at all. Starts every time and has hauled out x2 deer at a time. We hunt very steep ground and some of the moutains are steep. The yammy climbs these with ease, high/low ratio in 4x4 helps. I hardly have to touch the breaks as the engine compression is great.
This thing sits on the back of my ute for transport.
A few of the guys have used it to bring their deer out too!
