Rung the police as it's obviously stolen , what a waste of time . No wonder people rarely get stolen stuff back !

Yep, had that a couple of times.

reported my jet ski stolen and was asked if insured, being a trusting soul i said no, which ensured that they never even bothered to come and look at the crime scene.
At least if i was insured they would have had the company up there arse to find it or at least look at the pile of evidence where it was taken from.

    back on topic.

Bought this at the weekend. YFM350 big bear.
Needs new front CV joints and boots, missing front driveshaft and universals. Need to source those too. Need a muffler box too.
Could do with a a lick of paint on the chassis in some spots.

Apart from that it started on the button easily. Pull start is simple too.

That'll make life a lot easier, especially when returned to 4x4.

yep, definitely will. If anyone has any parts, let me know.
Just managed to find some bits and bobs from Ebay, which were cheap enough even with direct freight to NZ.

Once I get the main mechanicals done she's going to get some blinging with LED Lightbars. I'm going to blind those roos.

Just ordered a heap of stuff from ATVparts.co.nz and ATV city. When I say heap I mean not a lot but a heap of $$.
Actually mechanicals you can't take the chance with second-hand, so i bought new CV joints, new boots, new driveshaft and universals. Got second hand muffler. Got a bunch of plastics brackets and clips coming from eBay Aussie and USA cheap enough. Even sourced a new battery box on eBay. Cheapest bit will be the hardest to fit. The rear swingarm boot is perished. Stu71 & Cambo will be standing there with a coffee in their hands, pointing at me and keeping me right of course.

So next week it will start to be stripped down and ready for any bits that need fixed or welded. Got some CRC rust convertor to touch up bits, then will throw on a lick of paint to the frame.

Oh BTW - thanks to Stu71 for blabbing to the Missus about the purchase. Like an new dad, he couldn't wait to spill the beans on sat night. I'm sleeping in the dog's kennel at the moment. Revenge is a dish best served cold my friend and I have a wicked picture of you with some sheep that needs to go on the forum.... :p

I know it sounds a bit gay, but is anyone wearing an ATV helmet when riding their quads? I see a number of Ag based ones but they are all bright colours. Looking for one in black. Think it would make a good night spotlighting helmet and give my wife the warm fuzzies (she's asked!)

So how is the dog box going Oirish?
I hear the dog is enjoying the warmth by the fire while you are outside.

It's allright.... I'll look after the quad for you. Might even let you use it now and then, being the good bugger that I am.
