With all the top spec quad and sxs brands now coming with winches fitted they seem easier to get.
We've had the Suzuki 750 which runs a KFI winch, and the current Can Am has a Warn winch
I believe the Honda Also runs a KFI
If your only using it a couple of times a year the factory wire rope is ok but not ideal.
Dynemma rope is definitely way nicer to deal with.

The big advantage with the bike mounted winch is that it makes single man recovery sooooo much easier. With the winch control on the handle bar, you can drive and winch at the same time. I had one fitted to my Polaris before it left the show room floor.

So far I've never got myself that stuck that I have needed the winch, however I have used it to drag some pallet racking into position in the workshop, pulled a tree out of the garden, and hoisted my 150kg anvil onto its base block, and hoisted a couple of deer into trees for field dressing.

I have one of those and their 2 inch tow ball mount on the back of my spray quad. It works great, I winch the quad up onto the flat deck safely for transport between jobs and pull myself back out of trouble spots. I’m considering one of their hydraulic models for the tractor.
10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.
