Sounded like it was being troublesome, lots of blipping the revs up and down while braking - stalling issues?

Nah that's Dave's driving style. Lots of left foot braking. It's very hard on the driveline and brakes though.
It broke a halfshaft in SS4 then lost brakes before the track stage (ss11). I suspect the Master cylinder is bypassing the front seal and the rear brakes are doing all the work.
Even with the bias turned all the way off, the rears were still cooking.
The car has too much HP. It struggles for grip. K24 with 315hp at the wheels. Need to detune it a bit I think to make it more driveable.

Even compared to his normal style he seemed to be riding the throttle a lot on the brakes, even well before turn-in.

Thats a lot of power for a Honda, no wonder it struggles for traction!
