Tell people using your car to slow down, build a bridge, pay the fine, get over it. Waste of band width this thread FFS

If he genuinely doesn't know he is obviously unable to do the police's job for them, and cannot name a guilty party without lying to the authorities (which is apparently illegal).

It would be nice if the police bureaucracy allocated more officers time to those more important things instead of sitting beside the road with a camera to penalise generally law-abiding people for trivial infractions weeks after the event. It may not do anything for road safety but hey, it makes the quota (sorry its 'performance target' now isn't it) look better right?
Don't need too pay or more importantly have the unjust infringement on my record common sense and justice prevailed.

Can someone advise me how I can keep track of three vehicles with multiple legal drivers even when I am not around, what if they don't fill in a log just take it legally remember I am in the other side of the country on occasion.

I can assure you all I would be the fist to present the speeder with their prize and perhaps after a repeat performance revoke the use of the vehicle.

Should I lie and pay to make it go away?

Should I accept multiple infringements recorded against me that I lied to accept?

Does the actual speeder learn anything?

Are these cameras fit for purpose?

    Isn't that illegal?

Should I lie and pay to make it go away isn't that perverting the course of justice?

What if in the future it was proved I could not have committed the offence I admitted to am I guilty of perverting the course of justice !!!!!!! ?

Tell the people who are legally driving your car, to actually drive it legally!

    Example - don't speed.

    Problem solved

If you really think this is a first world problem the answer is in your question. Keep a log book.

That is standard practice with all company pool cars, probably for this very reason

Are you for real ?????? Dunediin to Christchurch is not that far I'm sure if you looked on a map with the wife and daughter you could figure out who was driving it's not like they would of changed drivers 10 times.
All this over a $30 fine that you are definitely sure either your wife or daughter incurred,
I also suspect actually know which one is culpable and are just being vexatious for the sake of it........
I'm sure I read on here somewhere A very respected person once said it was unbelievable how some people wasted their lives worrying about menial shit.....
I'll leave it there if you can't figure it out your not worth anymore time than that.
Seriously It's $30 it's a one off fine no doubt unless both your wife and daughter have incredulously aweful driving history I'm sure it won't be the blot on their character you make out that according to you is the "principal" behind all this.

    Normal household then?

I cant sack friends and family for failure to adhere the health and safety mandate or employment contract.

Do you keep a log is it up to date what method have you in place when not at home to police your log.

What disciplinary procedures have you in place for failure to adhere to your log.

Thanks your opinion and deep insight is of great intrest.

If you can't the answer is simple, Don't allow others to drive your vehicles as clearly the Idea of being responsible for a fine that wasn't incurred by you but someone you trust with your vehicles is just too much to bear. Stop hiding behind a b.s excuse your not anyone's hero on here because of it.

It was dark they don't know the roads I have no idea what tea rooms they stopped at what shopping they did nor do they three weeks after the event none of us know the towns or area, a photo of the driver would help!

"I'm sure I read on here somewhere A very respected person once said it was unbelievable how some people wasted their lives worrying about menial shit....."

Again thank you for your opinion and spending the time to provide such insight, thank you.

So how do you do it do no family or friends get to use your 1 or ? vehicle,

    lock the keys up?

Wife gets the bus (that's assuming the wife gets out on her own)?

    Kids get taxis and bus?

    Normal household then?

Oh we live 11 k from the nearest town not many buses here.

Again thank you for your opinion and spending the time to provide such instructive and helpful insight, thank you.

The cameras are fit for purpose. Purpose being revenue gathering.

They probably have 1/1000 people who actually genuinely argue about quality of the photo. Therefore hard to justify added expense of updating equipment when they are clearly fit for purpose.

Could I have a copy of your log procedures, I would appreciate your assistance as may others.

We cant see anyone in the vehicle photo, fit for purpose?

I will play along as you are clearly having a slow day...

I don't keep a driver log and see no reason too as no one else drives my car

2nd question is not applicable as above

3rd question is not personally applicable to me however the usual procedure is:
    Date of journey
    Opening odometer reading
    Closing odometer reading
    Purpose of journey
    Name and signature of driver
If not completed in full it usually means less of company vehicle/priviledge. You could apply the same to your mrs

Yes the camera is fit for purpose you numpty, it clearly captured your licence number plate.
