I didn't know we had this many stock trucks in NZ, let alone just in Fielding!!!!

That'll give MD a stiffy. I went to the sale yards there when we were doing some biosecurity planning for FMD and was blown away at how big the set-up was. Nothing like that round here
Yeah nah...lots of trucks means long wait times and cviu meal ticket. I'm actually going for drive in one again two days next week... Hope @Padox puts on some good weather for us this year.

Feilding is always super busy on a friday with stock trucks.
You get used to the smell on a friday.
As long as the roads are clear Tuesday n Wednesday I will be happy camper.with luck Bendigo hill will be firm n dry too, don't like getting towed up lol.

I imagine if all the Manawatu and Rangitikei are as short of feed as Taranaki and Wanganui seem to be then de-stocking is the thing to try and do.
I hear you guys over the hill have more feed than usual for this time of year. Just sold some R2 stock and got good coin for them, considering its the middle of winter
Fuckin funny place Fielding ( remembering to spell it correctly for a start hahahaha )
Has the main trunk rail line going straight through the guts, then add the sale yards basically there too & then include the Mansfield race track next door, so it's noisy n smelly & apparently full of crack heads, does also have a look out that while very steep they decided to put multiple shit arse plastic jutter bars on
But it's been awarded NZ's most "beautiful" town a dozen plus times, How good, free parking too faken winner winner
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!
South and Central Taranaki had a green drought this autumn , and my travels back and forth to Fielding in the last few months suggest it extended well south .
Fortunately it was a good season for making supplements , but there sure isnt anywhere near as much grass as normal.
