    Trailer bearing seal

I’ve had to replace trailer bearings for a WOF.
My question is which way around does the seal go?

Yes this does seem a dumb question but I do know which way it came out, but is it right in the first instance?

Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out

Cheers that’s what I thought and that’s how it came apart. Just checking it hadn’t been put together wrong previously.

flat face to the washer that goes on the stub axle, grease it. then add a little sand, will run it in a treat.

I hope you didn't put any grease on the ID of the seal, goes on dry as its a fixed part. Grease the lips only

Nah, ya seal will spin on the stub axle and may loosen up over time and let water in if a boat trailer. Or it'll stop spinning when it drys out and work properly.

Nope it'll be fine. Assembled plenty and never worried about getting it spotless and never had a problem. That's boat trailers too.
