    Pair of these and plywood. Give you a long strong drawer under a shelf for the mutts.
    Build a lip around the platform for the dogs raised at The back with a overhang at the tailgate end over the drawer and coat with hippo liner or similar. You'll be able to hose it out.

    Also some lockable slam latches for the drawer and you can store and lock your hunting gear away.
