Where do you get boat parts?

Dear team of experts. Im pretty used to shopping boats.net and looking up any engine and seeing an exploded view of any system thereof and getting the part numbers for anything…then buying it or the local store or Amazon or boats.net. It’s a good website for reference regardless, so I thought I’d share.
I’m talking anything but mostly the little things:
    Oil filter
    Plugs
    Thermostat
    Gasket for low pressure pumps
    Fuel filters
    Crush washers for lower unit

Where do we purchase these things??

PS: Going to the states soon so if anyone wants me to pick up a random o-ring or gasket or some such I’m happy to do it.

Well...last year I buggered the tiny oring inside the female connection of my fuel hose, mercury 15 HP two-stroke... Had to purchase the complete fitting and there wasn't one in the country... Managed to find a suitable oring about same time as new replacement fitting arrived here so now I have two. Sometimes these things are just waaay harder than should be. Mr boats in Timaru have been good to deal with.

Very much a case in point for this, I had to get two heat exchangers for Cummins 6BTA 300Hp a few years ago - Cummins price was close to NZ$5500+ at that point (and this for a basic copper unit, not a seawater rated cupronickel version).

Landed two cupronickel exchangers in 3 weeks ex the US for NZ$2800 all up. No comparison really...

As far as o rings and the like, not many outfits make their own custom ones these days the issue is sourcing the correct material in the correct size and hardness. It pays to have a few contacts in the automotive area for this!

I needed a new head for a yammy 90. By memory it was $800 plus form a local dealer. Got it from boat parts to my door in 4 days $280.

That was well before covid so may be different now

So is this here "boat parts" a store or website?

Offer still stands to pick up things from the states if that helps anyone...I'll have a bag full of lower unit washers with me...not sure why I'm obsessed with those things.

i have bought them from promt parts but they are not the cheapest. IMPEX japan had great prices and quick shipping but the downside is you have figure out the part numbers and model no. easy on a new motor but old ones are a gamble.

i have bought NOS yamaha parts from rollo marine and the boat shop near albany mega centre.
